Saint Louis University's Master of Health Administration program is ranked among the top 10 graduate programs for health care management by U.S. News & World Report. An M.H.A. from SLU prepares you to lead, manage and administer health services at hospitals, as well as private and public health care systems.

About the Program

In addition to our full-time M.H.A. program, SLU offers an M.H.A. option for working professionals — the Executive Master of Health Administration. This hybrid format of the executive M.H.A. blends distance learning with monthly face-to-face classes.

Dual Degrees

Nationally recognized and fully accredited dual-degree programs are available with SLU's School of Law (M.H.A./J.D.) and John Cook School of Business (M.H.A./MBA).

An accelerated degree option is available for Saint Louis University undergraduate students wishing to complete the program in five years.

Scholarships and Financial Aid
SLU’s College for Public Health and Social Justice offers several ways to help finance your graduate education. Opportunities include a limited number of merit-based scholarships, graduate research assistantships and part-time jobs (full-time M.H.A. students only). Awards are made to applicants with the highest combinations of GPAs and test scores who complete their applications by Feb. 15.
SLU's MHA program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education. The program has a 100 percent graduation rate and 92 percent placement rate within 90 days of graduation. Learn more about this CAHME-accredited program's student outcomes. 


Applicant Criteria


Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with no less than a 3.0 grade point average. Test scores are preferably in the 50th percentiles or higher, but there are no minimum cutoffs. Applicants are required to complete an introductory, undergraduate-level microeconomics course before starting the program.


Limited to established professionals with at least 18 months of professional experience in a health care or health-related organization.
