If you are a parent listed on a student’s admission application, you are automatically part of the Billiken Parent Association. Additional parents and family members are also welcome to join via a simple registration process. Membership is free and no commitments are required.
You’ll receive regular email updates about events and issues that may impact your student’s experience, including upcoming deadlines and important dates.
You’ll also have the chance to connect with other Billiken Parent Association members at Homecoming and Family Weekend, Fall Welcome events, Family Trivia Night and the Family Basketball Game, just to name a few.
Parents and families are a vital part of SLU’s community. We benefit from your energy and your commitment to student success. We look forward to a partnership with you that lasts beyond your student's academic career.
The Billiken Parent Association executive board is designed for parents and families who would like a closer connection to the University. The board helps to shape parent and family programs at SLU. It plans and hosts events to help parents and families connect to the University and to each other. And it serves as an advisory board to the University on parent and family topics and needs.
The board meets on campus twice a year, the Saturday of Fall Welcome (Aug. 20, 2016) and on a Saturday in the spring, to be determined. You will serve actively on the events, marketing and communication, membership, or strategic planning committees and volunteer at parent and family events throughout the year, as your schedule allows. Other business is conducted via email or conference call, as needed.
The board is limited to 30 families. Executive board applications are closed for the 2016-2017 academic year as the membership committee reviews all applications and strives to select a board that is diverse and representative of SLU’s student population.
